Advantages and Innovations: The innovation aspects of the development: 1. Air purification with an ionization chamber, whose basic elements are a rotating electrode and a stationary electrode, which produce a corona discharge in between when supplying voltage (12-24V) to them. An electric field is generated, where the air is purified from the detrimental impurities. 2. Continuous neutralization of toxic contaminations at low volume velocities of the gas mixture flow. The use of this method allows to: 1) Automate the purification process by virtue of variation of electric power and air-gas mixture contamination discharge. 2) Oxidize the industrial gas flow to carbon oxide and water vapour at the final purification stage. 3) Continuously neutralize toxic contaminations at high volume velocities of the air-gas mixture flow. 4) Provide the efficiency of air purification up to 90%.

Description of the offer: The increased industrial outputs are followed by the increased atmospheric contaminant emissions. For the purpose of controlling these contaminations it is necessary to take measures for their localization and purification. The research team offers an ionization unit for air-gas mixture purification allowing to remove organic compounds (formaldehyde, toluene, butanol, xylene, hexane, et cetera). The unit’s basic element providing purification processes is an ionization chamber. The ionization chamber contains a rotating electrode and a stationary electrode, which produce a corona discharge in between when supplying voltage (12-24V) to them. The air-gas mixture containing dangerous organic compounds is oxidized in the electric field to carbon oxide and water vapour. The technology allows to utilize contaminants and provides the efficiency of purification up to 90%. The unit’s program is set by a concentratometer, which identifies the concentration of organic compounds in the air emission. In case the air-gas mixture contains organic compounds, whose concentration is higher than the maximum one allowed in the atmospheric air, it is supplied for purification to the ionization unit for the second time. Thus there is the continuous neutralization of toxic contaminations. Furthermore, there is no secondary environmental pollution with intermediate utilization products. The development can be applied by enterprises of woodworking, petrochemical and food industries, as well as be used by agricultural and animal farms. The enterprise is looking for partners for introducing the development into the final production process. In this connection there are the following possible forms of cooperation: license agreement, technical cooperation, as well as joint venture agreement – in case of introducing the development at operating industrial enterprises. Furthermore, it is possible to conclude a research cooperation agreement, which will allow improving the project for a specific customer.

Summary: A research team from the Vologda region has developed a technology for ionization cleaning of gas compounds, which allows to remove organic emissions of furniture, chemical and pulp-and-paper industries from them. The proposed technology provides the efficiency of air purification up to 85% by means of deep oxidation to carbon oxide and water vapour.
