Description of the offer: The research of factors influencing the causal relations between the input and output values of the process of rock disintegration by mechanical means allowed to find the criterion functions that were used in the proposal of algorithms of extreme optimisation of these processes. The input values for every type of machine disintegration of rocks, such as drilling (geological survey, oil and gas drilling, geothermal energy wells, etc.), tunnelling (full-profile tunnelling machines, bracket tunnelling machines) are torque or disintegrating performance, penetration or net advance rate. Out of these values it is possible to define additional derived values, from among which the most important one is the specific energy. The net advance rate-specific energy ratio is the criterion function of cost optimisation of the disintegration process. The differences between the particular disintegration technologies are determined by the cost equation. The validity of derived criterion functions was verified by the laboratory tests on drilling stands and in-situ conditions. The changes of rock properties and prediction of dangerous fracture zones in rock mass are identified by breach of causal relations between input and output values. Following this new theoretical knowledge the optimiser of full-profile tunnelling machines was constructed. The optimiser enables to change the criterion of disintegration (maximum rate of disintegration, optimal operating life of disintegration tools specified by regime parameters corresponding to criterion of minimal intensity of tool wear or criterion of minimal costs per meter of tunnel length), to identify the changes of rock properties on the tunnel face and predict the dangerous failures of rock mass.
